No Playout Hardware to Maintain
Playout runs on our servers, so there's no on-site playout computer to set up, update or replace.
CirrusPlay plays your log around the clock, segues every song, opens your ad breaks and feeds your stream straight from our servers. No studio computer required. Control every bit of it from your Cirrus dashboard.
See what's on the air, what's coming next and whether your stream is fed. The console updates itself, never scrolls, and lives inside the Cirrus dashboard you already use.
Take the station off the air and back, drop in a request, skip to the next item, talk over the music or listen in.
Title, artist, progress and the intro marker, updating live.
One airs while the other prepares the next item, so segues overlap cleanly.
The hour ahead with projected start times, breaks and skips.
Five live readings confirm your stream is being fed.
Library, Scheduling, Playout Log, Shows and Import.
Listen to your station, or talk over the music right from your browser.
CirrusPlay lives where you already sign in. Nothing to install.
Cloud playout, cloud automation, auto DJ, cloud backup: whatever your station calls it, CirrusPlay runs it on our servers, right next to the platform that already delivers your stream. You stay in full control from your Cirrus dashboard.
Playout runs on our servers, so there's no on-site playout computer to set up, update or replace.
What listeners hear never depends on the console being open. Sign out, lose Wi-Fi, go home. Your station keeps playing.
Rebuild a day, import a log or reshuffle the library and it lands at the next song. The item on the air always finishes.
CirrusPlay feeds your Cirrus stream directly. Playout and delivery both come from Cirrus, so support is one call away.
Still broadcasting from your own studio? CirrusPlay doubles as cloud backup for your stream. It sits silent while you're on the air, and the moment your studio stream drops, your own music goes out instead.
Skip the setup marathon. Quick Start builds everything a program director would build by hand, and every piece stays yours to edit later.
Drop in MP3 or M4A files, as many as you like. Moving a big collection? Our team can set up a dropbox for bulk delivery.
Shuffle the whole library as an auto DJ, or play music synced to the top of every hour, with an optional station ID or ad break.
CirrusPlay builds the clock, paints the week, sets rotation and writes the logs. You're on the air within seconds.
The tools program directors expect, all running in the cloud and working alongside the studio and software you already use.
Build clocks slot by slot and paint them across the week. Paint only the hours that differ and let the rest fall to your music clock. Day logs are written automatically, up to a week ahead.
Already use music and traffic software? CirrusPlay airs the logs it exports. Preview every import before it's written, or let a nightly inbox handle it.
Doing shows from your own studio? DJs connect and take over the stream while the log keeps running underneath. When they sign off, listeners go right back to the music.
Go on air from home, a remote or the road. Arm your mic in the browser, press TALK, and the music ducks under your voice. Automatic gain control keeps your level steady, with no software to install.
Every upload is loudness-levelled, trimmed of silence, measured exactly and given a segue point. Duplicates are caught automatically, and syndicated shows stay out of the music rotation.
Broadcasting from your own studio? CirrusPlay can stand by as its backup, going on the air by itself if your studio stream drops and handing straight back when it returns.
A listener asks for a song. Search the library, click Play next, and it airs right after the current song. The log carries on where it was and your schedule is untouched.
Live feed health, a forecast of the hour ahead, and a self-updating library shuffle that covers any day without a log. There's always something to play.
No. CirrusPlay runs on our servers and feeds your stream directly. You operate it from an up-to-date desktop web browser, and your station keeps playing whether the console is open or not.
Both, and you choose. In Shuffle mode CirrusPlay works like an auto DJ: it plays your whole library around the clock as one cloud playlist, in random order, reshuffled nightly, with new uploads joining by themselves. In Scheduled mode it runs full cloud automation: clocks, dayparts, rotation rules, station IDs, ad breaks and shows, with a day log written for you every night. You can switch between the two at any time, and the change lands at the next song.
Yes. CirrusPlay airs the daily music log and traffic log your existing software exports. Send our team a sample of each and we'll set up a format sheet for your station, which tells CirrusPlay how your files are laid out. After that, Test Parse shows you exactly what it found before anything is written, and a watched inbox can import every night automatically.
Upload MP3 or M4A files from the Library page, as many at a time as you like. For large collections, our team can set up a dropbox for your station, and files placed in a folder are grouped by that folder's name automatically.
Absolutely. When a DJ connects, they take over the stream and the log keeps running underneath. When they disconnect, listeners go right back to the automation. On stations enabled for remote broadcast, hosts can also talk over the music straight from their browser.
Yes. There is no second station to set up: CirrusPlay itself acts as your backup. It stays silent while your studio stream is on the air and takes over by itself if that stream stops, by default after 30 seconds. Listeners hear your studio again the moment it returns, and it stays ready for a few minutes in case the stream drops again. You can also put it on the air by hand from the console.
Yes. A clock can open an ad break of the length you choose at any point in the hour, and the break takes no time away from the log. Carts marked SPOT are reported separately from songs. If your traffic software schedules your spots, CirrusPlay can air its traffic log alongside the music log.
Changes to a day that is already on the air take effect at the next song. The item playing is never cut short by a regenerate, an import or a reshuffle.
Yes. Stop on the console takes your station off the air after asking you to confirm, and it stays stopped, even through a server restart, until someone clicks Start. Day logs keep being written in the background while it is off.
